Anthony Wayne Simmons was born Sunday, May 24, 1942 in Childress, Texas to Coy A. Simmons & Geraldine (Conditt) Simmons. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Utica, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years and 1 month.

Anthony married Sue Ann Davis May 14, 1964 in Cartwright, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Utica Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge. Anthony enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Most of all, he loved being with his family.

Surviving Relatives: wife, Sue Ann Simmons of Utica, Oklahoma; sons, Tony Simmons and wife Becky of Utica, Oklahoma; Ricky Simmons and wife Jenny of Utica, Oklahoma; grandsons, Jeremy Simmons and wife Mittie and children Paige and Candice all of Utica, Oklahoma; Dean Balentine and wife Christy and children Jessi and Ty all of Durant, Oklahoma; Bruce Balentine and wife Kandy and children Cassidy, Tanner, Luke, Bo and Jason all of Durant, Oklahoma; B.J. Balentine and wife Harmony and children Taitum, Talon and Trey all of Aubrey, Texas; granddaughters, Lacy Allred and husband Daniel of Utica, Oklahoma; Mindy Simmons and Travis Middleton and son Gavin all of Utica, Oklahoma; Hillary Robison and Brandi Simmons both from Bokchito, Oklahoma; brothers, Coy Dean Simmons of Mead, Oklahoma; Aubrey Simmons of Armstrong, Oklahoma; sister, Sharron Raines of Savoy, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents Coy and Geraldine Simmons and one brother.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 26, 2010, Utica Baptist Church. Bro. Jay Perry will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Robinson, David Beall, Earl Lampkin, Dan Enloe, Jim Kinnett and Jerry Riley.
