Jennie Mae Withrow Rowland

Jennie Mae Rowland was born on May 30, 1944, in Durant, Oklahoma to Cash Noel Jr. and Lillie Pearl (Withrow) Noel. Jennie passed away on September 29, 2022, in Denison, Texas at the age of 78.

Jennie has been a lifelong resident of Durant and graduated from Durant High School. She married Lenord Lee Rowland on June 8, 1962, and they have been united for sixty years. Jennie attended Grayson County College and worked as an LPN until her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed crocheting, flowers and working in her greenhouse. The greatest joy she had was her family and treasured the time she spent with them.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Cash and Lillie Noel; son Ricky Lee Rowland; brother Danny Cash Noel and grandson Mason Cuesta.

Loved one left to continue her legacy are her husband Lenord L. Rowland of the home; son Gary Rowland of Caney, OK; daughters Brenda Porterfield of Caney, OK and Peggy Cuesta and husband Jay of Durant, OK; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Jennie’s amazing life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2022, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Anthony Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with Jonathon Graham, Jason Shearin, Jaxon Cuesta, Sarah Noel, Jeff Noel, and Nicholas Noel. Honorary pallbearer will be Jakob Rowland. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
