Marion Inell Burkhalter Risner

Marion Inell Burkhalter Risner was born on August 28th 1930 and passed away February 13, 2022. Her parents were Charles and Viola Burkhalter. She was the 5th out of 10 children. She married Murrell Risner on July 3rd 1947 in Sherman Texas. Together they had 3 children Alvin Risner, Sharon Risner Newton, and Terry Risner. She attended Durant schools and was a member of the Pirtle Baptist church for over 30 years. Inell loved serving the lord, spending time with family, and telling stories of picking cotton all over the county with her lifelong best friend Janell Newton Adams. Inell and Murrell owned the Risner roping arena in Blue Oklahoma for many years. She loved to work cattle with her husband, fish, play the piano and guitar. Inell could mostly be found with her granddaughter Tara every day taking trips to Miller Short Stop or going shopping all over town,

Marion Inell Risner is survived by grandson Timmy Newton and wife Christy of Durant, granddaughter Tara Young and husband Coby, of Durant, Shawna Rumer and husband Chad of Durant, and Michael Risner of Durant. Great-grandchildren Madison Walker and husband Logan Walker of Durant, Riley Reese and husband Dakota of Colbert, Colton Stephens of Coleman, Cooper Stephens and wife Sassi of Coleman, and Colbey Stephens and fiancé Shaya Claxton of Coleman, Tucker Rumer and Brock Rumer of Durant, and Casen, Canten and Karsen Young of Durant. Great-great grandchildren Maddox and Aselyn Reese, Brinlee Walker, Zaylee and Zaxton Stephens and Newton and Jasper Stephens, Daughter-in-law Shiela Risner, brother Keiller Burkhalter and wife Linda, best friend Janell Newton Adams, and a host of family and friends. Inell is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Viola Burkhalter, husband Murrell Risner, son Alvin Risner, daughter Sharon Newton, son Terry Risner, son-in-law Jimmy Newton, and great-great granddaughter Annistyn Reese, brothers Buck, Cochran, Charles, Haynie, and Billy Glenn Burkhalter, sisters Inez Pena, Elizabeth Maxey, and Lena Anderson.

Pallbearers Colton Stephens, Cooper Stephens, Colbey Stephens, Logan Walker, Dakota Reese, Casen Young, Larry Marksberry, Bart Russell.

Honorary Pallbearers Maddox Reese, Zaxton Stephens, Newton Stephens, Jasper Stephens, Tucker Rumer, Brock Rumer, and Canten Young.
