Janis Edna Jones, 86, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 7, 2026, in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Janis attended and graduated from Blue High School. On June 20, 1959, she married the love of her life, Ronald Dale Jones, in Roberta, Oklahoma. Janis worked as an Executive Assistant for Hale-Halsell Company and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Janis enjoyed traveling with Ronnie in their RV, sharing many memorable adventures with friends and family. She also loved baking and, above all, treasured the time she spent with her family and loved ones.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Edith Condor; her brother, Eldon Condor; and her son, Ricky Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Jones of Hugo, Oklahoma; daughter, Deborah Partin and spouse Charles of Hugo, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Debbi Jones of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Carroll Berry of Roberta, Oklahoma; brother, Tim Condor and spouse Sally of Mead, Oklahoma; brother, Terry Condor of Roberta, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Olivia Perry and spouse Jessie of Fort Worth, Texas; grandson, Llogan Lewis and spouse Bailey of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kyndal Davis and spouse Geoff of Waxahachie, Texas; granddaughter, Megan Partin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandson, Chaz Partin and spouse Ruthie of Marietta, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Janis will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Darel Bunch officiating. Janis will be laid to rest following the service at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Charles Partin, Llogan Lewis, Gary Jones, Mark Lambert, Geoff Davis, and Chaz Partin will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
