Kenneth James Johnson

Graveside services for Kenneth James Johnson, 64, proud member of the Choctaw Nation and beloved husband, father, and sibling, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion, Durant with Layne Heitz officiating.

Born October 31, 1956, at Marietta, the son of Frank and Lavene Brokeshoulder Johnson, he died Saturday, October 31, 2020.

Kenneth was a water tech for the City of Durant's Wastewater Plant for many years. He transferred to a position in Ada and then to the Randell Lake Denison Water Plant where he later retired. He was a member of the Water Quality Group and the Texas Water Quality Association. He was a leader in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed hunting for fossils and rocks with his Texoma Rockhounds group.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Calvin Johnson, Jim (Tiny) Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Bill Johnson; and nephew, Russell Johnson.

Survivors include his cherished wife, Andrea; daughter, Alissa Marsch and husband Josh; sons, Daniel Johnson and Ryan Johnson and wife Aleisha; sisters, Shirley Thompson and husband Edwin and Barbara Johnson, all of Marietta, and Rita Scott and husband Larry of Ada; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Justin Bishop, David Scott, Lee Rackley, and Josh Marsch. Honorary bearers were Jay Herschel and Spencer Davis.
