Billy Dean "Hud" Huddleston, Sr., passed from this life on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 at the age of 72 in Durant, OK. Born on Monday, September 10th, 1945 in Watsonville, CA to Cecil and Belle Huddleston.

Graduated from Durant High School on May 28th, 1963.

He was a Green Beret Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart and Two Bronze Stars during his Five-year enlistment. He retired in 1984 from the National Guard after serving 22 years.

Anyone that knew Hud knew that he was avid OU Fan and he bled Crimson

He is survived by his daughter: Misty Clark and husband, Gary of Silo, OK; Sons: Hud Huddleston of Durant, OK; Kirk Skelton and wife Terry of Brock, TX; Aidan "Coop" Insenberg of Durant, OK.; Sister: Dorothy Huddleston Womble and Lifelong partner Vanessa Henson of Pittsburg, TX; Brother: Walter Ray Huddleston and wife Linda of Sherman, TX and numerous other family and friends. Grandchildren include: Tanner Clark, Kaden Huddleston and Taylor and Tyler Skelton. Great Grandchildren include: Everly Belle and Ryker Skelton.

Proceeded in death by Grandson: Jaron "Runnin Bear" Baker; Parents: Cecil and Belle Huddleston and Bill and Mary Portman.

Pallbearers include: Clyde Wayne Robinson, J.R. Varner, Michael Varner, Kaden Huddleston, Ernie Scott and Carl Cunningham. The Family asks in honor of Hud’s life, you wear OU or Crimson/Cream attire to the service.

Family hour will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, OK. on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 form 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, OK. on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 at 2pm with Reverend Tommy Betrand officiating and burial will follow immediately at Highland Cemetery in Durant, OK.
