Carolyn Jeanette Holder House

house-c-j

September 9, 1935 - December 6, 2022

Carolyn Jeanette House was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on September 9, 1935 and resided in Durant, Oklahoma for much of her life. She married the love of her life, Wesley Dixon House, in Ft. Worth, Texas at the Carswell Air Force Base chapel on January 8, 1954.

Carolyn was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed traveling, finding herself all across the world - Egypt, Libya, Italy, Greece, Florida, California, and (of course) Disney World. She held a deep love and appreciation for each person she encountered in life; whether they be family, friends, church-family, or the children who have passed through the school in Kenya.

Carolyn was known by all to be both genuine and caring, but she was also known as so many other great things. She's a loving mother, beloved daughter, wonderful wife, spectacular sister, amazing grandmother, marvelous great-grandmother. She's the woman in purple and, for so many, "The Cookie Lady."

She journeys into heaven to join her husband, Wesley House; Siblings: Debbie Holder, Larry Jack Holder, Jo Ann Shinn, and Melba Ruth Holder; her parents Bessie Ann Holder and Elberg Houston Holder; and her Son-in-Law Ronnie Scott.

Carolyn will continue to watch over all of her loved ones who remain on this earthly plane, sending her love from above to her children Wesley House, Tina and John Kidman; grand-children Jennifer and Jayson Arnold, J.W. Kidman, and Cheyenne LeMond; Great-Grand Children Blake Arnold, Jayson (Baby J) Arnold, Zander Lee Dixon Arnold, and Aiden Green; her sisters and brothers Wanda and Don Harmon, Linda and Charles Howell, Jessie and Rhonda Holder, Carl and June House, Buddy Holder, and Donna Holder; as well as her many, many extended family members.

Carolyn will be missed as a person who brought joy to so many and will never be forgotten. She's touched our lives in the most positive of ways, a true blessing to this world. The tears we share for her are just us remembering all of our happy memories together.

Carolyn J. House, 87 and in Heaven.
