July 30, 1940 - August 27, 2026

Kenneth Waymon Fields, a beloved father, grandpa, and longtime resident of Bryan County, Oklahoma, passed from this earthly life on August 27, 2026 at the age of 86. He was born in Old Allison, Oklahoma to Tom and Janetta (Bennett) Fields on July 30, 1940. Kenneth married his best friend and "Sweetie Pie" Priscilla (Evins) Fields on May 22, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Kenneth was a carpenter by trade and farmer for 40 years before he retired to be just "Pop" or "Grandpa". Many do not know Kenneth was the superintendent who oversaw the building of the first Kmart and Oscar Mayer buildings in Grayson County, Texas, as well as several of the Texas Instruments Buildings, along with numerous others in Texas and Oklahoma.

He enjoyed being outside building old wagons from the ground up, or just messing with his horse. Most of all he loved when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to see him. He was a daily coffee drinker at Dairy Queen in Durant, and always came home with news to report!

Mr. Fields is survived by: his daughters Kenya Inman and husband Ken, and Shawna Mullens, all of Durant, Oklahoma; his sons Randall Fields and wife Cindy of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma, Tracy Fields and wife Tricia of Durant, Oklahoma, and Jack Fields and wife Stacy, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandkids and 2 great-great-grandkids; and 1 niece and 1 nephew, both of Denison, Texas.

Mr. Fields was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Priscilla (Evins) Fields; his great-grandson Cayden Mullens; his mother Janetta Sue Fields; his father Tom Bryson Fields; his brother Noble Ray Fields; his sister Tommie Sue Hawkins and husband Jim of Denison, Texas; nephew James Dale Hawkins; and two great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Fields will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma, officiated by Mark O'Hern. Following the service, he will be laid to rest beside Priscilla in Highland Cemetery in Durant. Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons: Skiler Schmitz, Bo Fields, Bryson Fields, Carter Fields, TJun Gibson, Hayzn Applegate, Keifer Rodgers, and Jordie Mullens.

Please share your memories of Kenneth and your condolences for his family on the Tribute Wall below.

Visitors are also welcome to sign the guest book at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home from noon-5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31.
