Mary Ellen Tigert Crossland was born December 26, 1920 in Caney, Oklahoma to William "Bud" and Laura White Tigert.

She died Saturday, June 11, 2011 in the home.

Mary was a cafeteria cook for 20 years and a homemaker all of her life.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was married to Herbert Crossland February 27, 1940. Herbert passed away May 3,1996.

Survivors include her sons, Paul and Carolyn Crossland of Kernersville, North Carolina, and David Crossland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Janice and David Hayes of Calera, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Margaret Crossland of Durant, Oklahoma; one sister, Inez Jackson of Caney, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Cathy Crossland of Manchaca, Texas; twelve grandchildren, William and Mandy Crossland, Deanna and Michael Dunn, Chris and Bonnie Crossland, Don Crossland, Amanda Crossland, Robert Crossland, Angela and Kris Patton, Larisa and Tim Lee, Reann and Doug Tiemann, Casey and Kris White, Daniel Crossland and Cody Crossland; nineteen great-grand children; one great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded her in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters, her husband, Herbert Crossland and two sons, Terry Crossland and Bert Crossland.

Funeral services for Mary Crossland, 90, of Calera will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Calvary Baptist Church, Durant. The Rev. Darel Bunch will officiate.

Internment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Durant. Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Family hour will be Monday evening 7:00 - 8:00 pm at. Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.

Memorials may be made to the Falls Creek Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, Durant, Oklahoma.
