Lois May Bridges Christian a precious family member and resident of SIlo, Oklahoma passed into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the age of 94 years 3 months and 17 days. She was born to Palmer and Lulu McBride in Old Allison, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 10, 1920.

Lois was a member of the Baptist Faith. She loved getting a bargain and could often be found at an auction. Lois liked to be outside fishing and hunting whenever she had the time. She gladly committed her life to caring for her home and family and she always enjoyed the time she spent with them, and considered them her greatest blessing.

Mrs. Christian is survived by her husband, Ronald( Pee-Wee)Christian of the Home; sons, Loyd Bridges and wife Carol of Mead, Oklahoma and Tommy Bridges and wife Julie of Durant, Oklahoma; daughters, Patsy Riter of Durant, Oklahoma, Nancy Smith and husband Vernon of Silo, Oklahoma, Peggy Evans and husband Andy of Durant, Oklahoma and Linda Davidson and husband Paul of Durant, Oklahoma; very special sister-in-law, Dottie McBride; foster daughter, Rosetta Smith of Durant, Oklahoma; 34 Grandchildren, 82 Great-Grandchildren and 56 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Christian was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Lula McBride; husband, O.T. Bridges (father of her children); brothers; Porter, Richard, Frank, Joe, Johnny, J.D. McBride; sons, Richard "Dick" Bridges and Milton Bridges; 4 Grandsons, 2 granddaughters; 1 great- grandson; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Ruby Lewis and Kathryn Astra.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Rev. Randy Tadlock officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. The pallbearers will be George Riter, Tommy L. Bridges, Loyd D. Bridges, David Bridges, J.C. Smith, Chester Smith and James Davidson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jr. Riter and Peter Paul Davidson.
