Carl Patrick Buchanan of Caddo, Oklahoma passed away on November 22, 2020 in Denison, Texas at the age of 80. Carl was born on August 31, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Carl Dee and Chloria Mattie (Bragg) Buchanan.

Carl graduated from John Marshall High School and attended SOSU. Carl proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict and retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service. He married Betty Ann Stark on June 18, 2005. Carl was a truck driver and worked in the transportation business until his retirement. He was a member of the Faith Temple Church and he enjoyed going to That Country Music Place, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl Dee and Chloria Mattie Buchanan; wife Betty Ann Buchanan; grandparents Ollie and Ida Bragg; sister Betty June and grandson Joey Versa.

Carl is survived by his children Carl Dee Buchanan, David Patrick Buchanan, Neecy Brown and husband Tasso, Diana Versa and husband JJ, Brenda Hall and husband Bryan, Pam Sivella and husband Clint, Ciara Buchanan, Kendra Buchanan, Matthew Buchanan and Blake Buchanan; step daughters Christy Davidson and Paula Fox and husband David; siblings Willie Buchanan and wife Betty, John Buchanan and wife Barbara and Regina Boucher; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Grady Ford will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
