Margaret Sue Beal, a resident of Utica, Oklahoma left this earthly life in Denison, Texas and arrived in heaven on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 23 days.

She was born in Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 2, 1932 to James Austin and Katherine Brown Goettings.

Sue married Garlan "Sonny" Beal in Durant, Oklahoma on December 2, 1950 who preceded her in death on November 22, 2014.

Sue was a member of the Utica Baptist Church.

She loved to find a quiet spot to read, work cross puzzles and especially fishing with her husband, Sonny.

Mrs. Beal is survived by her daughters, Cathy Ross and husband Larry of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Sharon McClaskey and husband Rick of Keota, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chad Springer and wife Mary of Georgetown, Texas, Jason Springer and wife Liz of Odessa, Texas, Matthew McClaskey and wife Krystal of Durant, Oklahoma and Sarah Harris and husband David of Keota, Oklahoma; sisters, Mary Lou Burnett and husband Bob of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Claire Binder and husband Chester of Louden, Tennessee; brother, Ben Post and wife Barbara of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; very good and dear friend, Kathy Cassidy; and numerous great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Beal was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Katherine Goettings; husband, Garlan "Sonny" Beal and sister, Lola Davis.

The Beal family will receive family and friends at their home. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Rick McCleskey officiating.

Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
