Roy Cleveland Nelson, age 81, passed away on March 27, 2021. Roy was born in Caddo, Oklahoma on October 20, 1939, to James W. Nelson and Vera M. Nelson. He lived in Durant for over 30 years from Mineral Wells, Texas. He married the love of his life Loretta Lou Nelson (Dosier) on January 16, 1959, in Electra, Texas. He was a carpenter.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents James and Vera Nelson, his sister Hazel Russell, his brother Harold R. Nelson and his son Kenneth R. Nelson.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Loretta of the home, his daughter Sandra Farrington and husband Kevin of Skellytown, Texas, Sons Ricky Nelson and wife Alice of Pampa, TX, Randy Nelson of Durant and daughter Janet Smith and wife Wanda of Mead and son James Nelson and wife Jo of Mead Oklahoma. Also 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and one more on the way.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK. Visitation is Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel, Durant. Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
