Anita Jean Morris, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother, left this earthly life on Monday August 7, 2017 at the age of 91, on her birthday. She was born on August 7, 1926 in Altus, Oklahoma to M.T. and Nora Faye (Twaddle) Morrow. Jean married Andrew Leslie Morris in Atoka, Oklahoma on December 17, 1943.

Jean lovingly committed her life to caring for her home, and family. She was a member of the Robinson Baptist Church. She had a giving heart and enjoyed serving others, but her greatest blessing was her family, especially her 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her sons, Donald A. Morris of Caddo, Oklahoma, and Thomas W. Morris and wife Kim of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chad Morris of Caddo, Oklahoma, Andrea Thompson of Caddo, Oklahoma, Cooper Morris of Caddo, Oklahoma, LaShay Acree and husband Gavin of Woodland Park, Colorado, Garrett Morris and wife Priscilla of Durango, Colorado, Kaija Caraway and husband Travis of Durango, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Miranda Thompson of Durant, Oklahoma, Jaxon Acree of Woodland Park, Colorado, Kael Acree of Woodland Park, Colorado, Uriah Acree of Woodland Park, Colorado, Hadassah Acree of Woodland Park, Colorado, Ryan Barnes of Durango, Colorado, Kaleb Barnes of Durango, Colorado, and Aislen Caraway of Durango, Colorado; and great-great grandchildren, Trinity Pugh of Durant, Oklahoma, Jaxon, Kael, Uriah, and Hadassah Acree of Woodland Park, Colorado, Ryan and Kaleb Barnes of Durango, Colorado, and Alislen Caraway of Durango, Colorado.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, M.T. and Nora Morrow; husband, Andrew Morris; brothers, Cecil Morrow, Leroy Morrow, and Andrew Morrow; and sister, Margaret Terrel; in-laws, H.T. Morris and wife Noveta; mother and father-in-law, Hugh and Zora Morris; brothers-in-law, Nobel Morris and wife Bonnie, Burl Morris and wife Pat, Joe Seely, and Bob Weaver; sister-in-law, Evelyn Mitchell.

Family Hour will be from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday August 9th at the Holmes~ Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 9th at the Robinson Baptist Church 2039 Robinson Rd., Bokchito, Oklahoma with Rev. Don Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo. Serving as pallbearers will be Junior Seely, Ray Morris, Wendall Morris, Richard McIntire, Rick Morris and Tony Argo.
