ROBERT C. "BOB" FREENY - 11/19/1921 - 1/23/2004

A funeral service was held in Caddo, Oklahoma for Robert C. "Bob" Freeny, 82, who passed away Friday, January 23, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern OK.

He was born Saturday, November 19, 1921, in Freeny Valley, Bryan County, to Homer M. and Margaret (Griggs) Freeny. He married Margaret Elizabeth Hoffman August 25, 1945, in Toms River, NJ. He moved back to Caddo after serving in the Marines during World War II at Pearl Harbor and working as a drilling supervisor in the oil fields. He was a member of the VFW and Pearl Harbot Survivors Association. He loved fishing and ranching. He was a member of Caddo First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Keotah Freeny and sister, Ida Lee Price. He is survived by his mother of Caddo; his loving wife, Margaret; sons, Andrew Freeny of Maricopa, CA and Keotah Freeny of Tehachapi, CA; daughters, Barbara Ann Freeny, Sahuarita, AZ and Vivia Locke Artz of Taft, CA; brother, Homer Michael Freeny II of Bakersfield, CA; granddaughter, Taunya d'Artney of Bakersfield; grandsons, Sean McLean and Ryan Artz, both of Taft; many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Gathsemane Cemetery, Caddo, with pallbearers John Freeny, Clay Freeny, Stuart Freeny, Andrew Freeny, Mark Mackinich, Barbara Ann Freeny, Vivia Locke Artz and Willian Hasse.
