George Lewis Cunningham passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Caddo, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years and 3 months. He was born on Saturday, August 2, 1947 in Paris, Texas to Homer and Orpha (Reynolds) Cunningham. George married his sweetheart, Marsha Mae Haddock, in Caddo, Oklahoma on Friday, February 14, 1986.

George was a dedicated teacher for 27 years in the Calera Public School. Being committed to education he achieved a Master's Degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. George served his country in the Army Reserves. He was a faithful member of the Caddo Presbyterian Church serving as a Elder and member. George enjoyed many things, especially deer hunting and camping.

Mr. Cunningham is survived by his wife, Marsha Cunningham of the home; daughter, Crystal Cunningham of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandson, Spencer Branson of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Taylor Branson of Caddo, Oklahoma; sister, Della Hill of Alaska.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Orpha Cunningham; sister, Doris Steele.

Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2011 at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Caddo, Oklahoma with Rev. Wanda Johnson and Rev. Hal Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Ish Kaniatobe, Roy Badger, Ralph Vidal, Charles Hawthorne, Lynn Parnell, Roy Badger, Jr., John Vidal, Gerald Nickles, and Gerald Stanley.
