Lisa Karen Stewart

On the morning of January 11th, 2018, Lisa Karen Stewart age 57, of Temple Texas, went home to be with our Lord in heaven. She had been a Temple resident since 2004. Lisa was born in Dallas Texas on September the 12th, 1960. Lisa received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from Texas A&M University-Central Texas in 2016. She was currently working on her MBA when she passed. She was employed by HEB in the central Texas region since 2004. She served her country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1980 to 1984. She was also an active SHRM member in the student chapter at her college. She was also a Christian member of Temple Bible Church. Lisa was a proud member of the Chickasaw Warriors Society.

Ms. Stewart is survived by her daughter Sheri Kahler and husband Keith of Lewisville Texas, her sister and brother in law Bob and Denise Stout of Cartwright Oklahoma, niece Rebecca Krause of Hurst Texas, and grandson Marc Stewart Kahler of Lewisville, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Ms. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents Tommy and Lucille Stewart, and sister Susan Hancock.

Family hour will be from 7:8:00 pm Monday January 15, 2018 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 16th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma at 10 am. with Bro. Lee Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Bob Stout, Keith Kahler, Chuck Campbell, and Scott Palmer. A military honor guard for the Chickasaw Nation will honor Lisa and conduct graveside rites. Memorial gifts may be made to her and her family members sent to 121 N. 5th Street, Durant, OK. 74701.
