Charles "Sonny" Wayne Farrington

Charles "Sonny" Wayne Farrington was born on November 7, 1944, to Lester and Ruby Farrington in Howe, Texas. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 14, 2025. Sonny came to Bryan County from Denison, Texas in 1968. He attended Grayson County College. He owned and operated Farrington Roofing with his father and brother. On January 11, 1969, he married the love of his life, Geneva Dansby. Sonny was proud to have served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1970 in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Lester Farrington. His sisters Judy Weger, Shirley Pennell, Sue Neal and brother Johnny Farrington.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Geneva Farrington of the home. His son Chris Farrington and wife Traci of Rowlett, Texas and Johnny Farrington and wife Tracy of Durant, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
