Marjorie Nadine Benton 84, of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born October 27, 1932 in Durant, Oklahoma to Rex Alfonzo and Mary Ellen Washer Harville.
She attended Achille, Oklahoma schools and married Luke Benton March 15, 1951 in Durant, OK. and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2005. She was also preceded by her Parents and Brother Billy Joe Harville.
She was employed in accounting for over 20 years at First United Bank. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Colbert, OK. where she was a very devoted Christian and member and sang for years in the church choir.
Surviving are her Daughters Sherry Slaton and husband Larry of Grand Prairie, Texas and Rebecca McKnight of Colbert, OK. Grandchildren Amy Michelle Benton and Dustin D.B. McKnight. Great Granddaughter Arianna Cheyenne Benton and Great Grandson Benjamin Williams-McKnight. Sister Irene Marie McBride of Winnsboro, Texas and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A Funeral Service for Marjorie Nadine Benton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon July 14, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Colbert with Dr. Roddy Arnold officiating with visitation an hour prior to the funeral starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert.
