George Lemuel Edgar Metts is buried at Cox Cemetery in an unmarked grave. He was the son of John and Annie Ogden Metts and was born July 4, 1878 in Moniteau County, Missouri.

He married Sadie Sabra Hayes Metts and they were living in Bryan County Oklahoma when he passed. To this union was born 5 sons:

Herbert Marvin Metts (09/19/1908-04/19/1995),
Died and Is buried near Abilene, TX,

Garvey Edgar Metts (1912 - 1975),
Died and is buried near Bokchito, OK

Allen Noble Metts (1914 - 1917) ,
Born & died Sweetwater, TX

John Edwin Metts (12/20/1916-02/1944)
born Sweetwater, TX

Roy Earl Metts (June 22, 1922 - January 28,2014)
Born and died in Bryan Co Oklahoma
