Joseph Eduardo Espinoza

Joseph Eduardo Espinoza, age 88, a Voca, OK resident for the past 2 months, was raised in Durant and moved to Dallas area. He was born on Thursday, August 30, 1934, to Joseph and Lorine (Hernandez) Espinoza, at Durant, OK. Joseph passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Durant, OK. He attended Durant High School where he played football, baseball, and ran track. Joseph worked for Merchant Trucking Co. doing maintenance and mechanizing. He transported cars to auctions, and worked for The Texas Rangers baseball team. He married Barbara Sue Allen in 1952 and later married Peggy Mae Jones in 1959, they both preceded him in death. Joseph was raised Catholic and was later Baptist, he was affiliated with Voca Baptist after moving back to Oklahoma. He loved coaching baseball and basketball, fishing, and especially watching The Texas Rangers play baseball.

Joseph is survived by his children, Danny Joe Lynch and wife Dee of Colorado Springs, CO, Anita Hokett and husband Keith of Voca, OK, Stacy Espinoza of Frisco, TX, Tracy Espinoza and wife Julie of Frisco, TX, Tiger Hutcherson and wife Sue of Durant, OK; sister, Rita Lambert of Interlachen, FL; nephew, H. William Lambert Jr. and wife Deborah Daws of Huntsville, AL; nieces, Anette Gilbert and husband Mike of Interlachen, FL, Diana Downey and husband Tommy of Mesa, AZ, 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and one expected very soon, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other dearly loved relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his parents, Joseph and Lorine (Hernandez) Espinoza; daughter, Angela Williams; son, Tommy Espinoza
