Mary Aline Thomas went to be with her beloved husband on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, surrounded by her children and grandchildren at her bedside at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant.

Mary was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Norman to John Henry and Rhoda Hallie Peden. She married Willie Henry Thomas on June 14, 1943, in Fresno, Calif.

Out of their union, they had eight children. She lived most of her life in Bokchito and Durant, of which the last few years was spent at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in March 1988; two brothers Louis and Allen Peden; two sisters Annie Brown and Bessie Tackla; daughter in law Carol Ann Thomas in March 1990; grandson Jessie Eric Kellogg in October 2008; infant great grandson Deegan Kenneth Jones in February 2001; infant great-granddaughter Hope Illiam Myer.

She is survived by four sons, Willie Junior Thomas of Durant, Henry Allen Thomas and wife Sherri of Bokchito, John Wilson Thomas and wife Beverly of Blue, David Wilson Thomas and wife Lana of Mead; four daughters, Mary Sue Myer and husband Ken of Bokchito, Lois Sprouse of Canyonville, Ore., Barbara Jean Edwards and May Lorine Robison both of Bakersfield, Calif. One sister Lillie Ohano of Clovis, Calif. Grandchildren include Willie Lee Thomas and wife Cindy of Kingston, Rodney Edgar Thomas and wife Lethia Ray of Bokchito, Sherri Ann Thomas of Mead, Robert Henry Thomas of Bokchito, Sybil Thomas of Roosevelt , Utah, Ricky Allan Phillips and wife Denise of North Richland Hills, Texas, Ken Myer Jr and wife Melinda of Gary, Ind., Kathryn Elizabeth Balczo and husband Jim of Gary, Ind., Steven Michael Myer and special friend Susan of Highland Park, Ind., Emily Ann Myer of Tampa, Fla., Tamara Eucola Thompson of Carson City, Nev., Tina Marie Richardson and husband Keith of Roseburg, Ore., Donnie Wayne Edwards, Roger Dale Edwards, and Paul Edwards of Kennett, Mo., Annie Mae Mossman and husband Steven of Bakersfield, Calif., John Edward Thomas of Houston, Mo., Dathney Dawn Phillips and husband Johnny of Caddo, Lionis Dean Wilson of Oklahoma City, David Lee, Daniel Lee, Amanda and Jacob Thomas of Mead, Shelley Amber Robison and Elizabeth Mary Robison of Bakersfield, Calif., 33 greatgrandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mary were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bokchito Cemetery pavilion with Bro. Ross Phillips officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons:Ricky Allan Phillips, Willie Lee Thomas, Robert Henry Thomas, Rodney Edgar Thomas, John Edward Thomas, and David Lee Thomas. Honorary pallbearer was Daniel Lee Thomas.

She will forever and always be in our hearts. We love and hope to see you again one day. The family would like to send special thanks to her physician, Dr. Rao Sureddi, for being there for our loved one.
