Donald Ray Smith

June 19, 1943 ~ April 4, 2022

Donald Ray Smith, age 78 of Plano, Texas passed away on April 4, 2022. Donald was born on June 19, 1943, in Durant, Oklahoma to parents Lem and Ozie Lefevers Smith.

Donald was raised in Bryan County and married Delores Sherefield, and they were blessed with 53 years of marriage until Delores’s passing on December 4, 2018. Donald retired from Texas Instruments and proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother-in-law Johnny Sherefield and nephew Gary Dale Powell.

Donald is survived by his brother-in-law Donnie Sherefield and wife Patsy, sister-in-law Joan Powell and husband Gary and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 9, 2022, at Bokchito Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
