Debra Howell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, family member, and resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday May 4, 2018 at the age of 58. She was born in North Carolina to James E. and Wanda Lorene (Teal) Matheny on December 19, 1959. Debra married Jeremy Floyd Howell in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on January 1, 2006.
Debra worked as a CNA (Certified Nurse's Aide), her last employer was Calera Manor. She attended the Blue River Fellowship Church and enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Howell is survived by her husband Jeremy of the home; mother, Wanda Matheny of Howe, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Bickle of Calera, Oklahoma, and Jessica Perkins of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Rex Underwood II, of Colbert, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; sister, Cora Elizabeth Mason of Colbert, Oklahoma; adopted mother, JoAnn Hanson of Cartwright, Oklahoma; sister, Melissa Voilin of Colbert, Oklahoma; and Paul Hanson of Oregon; she is also survived by other family members and friends.
Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her father, James Matheny; and sister, Jo Anna Denise Chapman.
Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Monday May 7th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A chapel service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday May 8th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Tommy Green officiating. Burial will follow at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Jason Hughes, Gregory Bickle, Lilly Smith, Harvey Smith, Greg Underwood, Tommy Farrell, and Daniel Billy serving as pallbearers.
