Glenn Edward Cox was born on Saturday, April 06, 1946 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Lester Lee & Della Mae Cox. He passed from this life on Sunday, September 06, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years and 5 months.

Glenn loved being with his grandkids, loved traveling, working, driving, and tinkering. He also enjoyed music, taking pictures, and making videos for the family. He always seemed to document the milestones in people’s lives by pictures. Glenn drove a long haul for Frito Lay for 35 years and also worked for Yellow Freight. He married Shirley Levada (Payne) on July 30, 1963 in Brownfield, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and longtime resident of Bokchito.

Preceded in death by: Parents:Lester Lee & Della Mae Cox Brother:G.A. Cox Sister: Billie Berry Infant Brother: Eugene Cox.

Survived by: Wife: Shirley Cox of the home Daughter: Glenna Lowe & Mike Pawlish of McKinney, Texas Daughter: Paula Schleeter & husband Brian of Celina, Texas Grandson: Dalton Lowe Grandson: Dillon Schleeter Granddaughter: Alyssa Lowe Mike’s Children: Katie & Josh Pawlish Brother: Charles Cox of Denison, Texas Sister: Geneva Trammel of Bakersfield, California Sister: Jessie Mae Hawkins of Bokchito, Oklahoma Sister: Ann Yandell Sister: Judy Banko of El Paso, Texas Sister: Geza Banko Several Precious Nieces & Nephews and Life-Long Best Friend Eddie Phillips.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 2:00 PM First Baptist Church of Bokchito, Oklahoma. Rev. Phillip Rowland & Rev. Preston Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Bokchito Cemetery with Roger Hedgecock, Troy Berry, Carl Phillips, Bobby Phillips, Gary Payne, and Randy Payne serving as pallbearers. Junior Pallbearers will be Dillon Schleeter and Dalton Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean Allen, Gene Keenon, Randy Keenon, Sammy Trammell, Bob English, Bill English, Eddie Phillips, Kevin Allen and Craig Allen.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 7-9 PM at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
