Funeral Services for Claude Wayne Brackett will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Bokchito, Oklahoma with Bro. Ross Phillips officiating. Wayne was born Friday, November 1, 1935 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Claude Randall and Ora Mae Brackett. Papaw passed from this life on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Denison, Texas.

Wayne was a resident of Bryan County for a big part of his life. He lived in Bokchito, Durant and the latter part of his life in Denison. When he was young he enjoyed racing cars. He loved working with cars. He owned and operated a Paint and Body Shop for over 30 years in Durant and Denison, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, C.R., Delbert and Buddy Brackett; a sister, Bertha Medell.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tammy Willis and husband Mike of Durant and Lori Roberts and husband David of Denison, Texas; their mother, Bonnie Brackett of Durant; brother, Dan Brackett and wife Barbara of Bennington; sisters, Lorene Thompson of Bennington and Lillie Mae Winans of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by three granddaughters: Kristi Roberts of Denison, Texas; Amanda Counce and husband Chris and Staci Willis all of Durant.

Interment will be in Bokchito Cemetery at Bokchito, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will include: Mike Willis, David Roberts, Larry Roberts, Scott Brackett, Steve Brackett and James Cox. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
