Patricia Jan (Pierce) Folsom passed from this life in Bennington, Oklahoma on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the age of 54 years 4 months 3 days. She was born on Saturday, Feburary 16, 1957 to David “Dood” Pierce and Lizzie Bell (Harrington) Pierce in Cooper, Texas. Patricia married Macky Vance Folsom on Saturday, April 1, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Patricia was a member of the People’s Church. She liked to go fishing, gardening, sewing, baking, and crafting. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, though she especially enjoyed time with her grandkids.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Folsom) Hawkins and husband Kent of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Leah (Folsom) Harrelson and husband Dale of Bennington, Oklahoma; brothers, Troy Pierce and wife Janie of Durant, Oklahoma, Donnie Pierce and wife Ganell of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Mark Pierce and wife Becky of Bokchito, Oklahoma; sisters, Mamie Lou Ashlock of Azle, Texas, Wanda Barcheers and husband Buddy of Bennington, Oklahoma, Cathy Farrell and husband Allen of Mingus, Texas; golden child Modesty Billy and Jason of Durant, Oklahoma; grandsons, Skyler Hawkins,, Patrick Hawkins and Josh Hawkins all of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Nicholas Kuykendall of Bennington, Oklahoma, Ryan Harrelson of Bennington, Oklahoma, and Siren Price of Durant, Oklahoma; grandaughters, Mallory Hawkins of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Ashten Belvin of Bennington, Oklahoma, Jerika Butler of Durant, Oklahoma; special friends, Kim, Michael and Matt Maxwell of Durant, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Folsom is preceded in death by her husband, Macky Folsom; parents, Dood and Lizzie Pierce; brothers, Dave and Bobby Pierce; sister, Fran Prater; step-son, J.D. Folsom; mother and father in-law, J.D. Folsom and Gertie Campo.

Family Hour will be 7-8 P.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2011, Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Oklahoma with Roger Speers officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Prater, Donald Barcheers, Taylor Springfield, Charley Springfield, Andrew Pierce and Zach Belvin; grandsons will serve as honorary pallbears.
