Denise Renee Barboan, better known as Renee or Nae Nae, passed away on Monday November 15, 2021, in Durant, OK at the age of 53. Denise was born on October 27, 1968, in Durant to Daniel Richard Sr. and Shirley Ann (Williams) Barboan.

Renee graduated from Durant High School and later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She was of the Presbyterian faith, and she enjoyed singing karaoke, drawing, beading, playing pool, watching scary movies, listening to music, and watching crime TV. She loved spending time with family and friends and watching her OU Sooners.

Renee is preceded in death by her father Daniel Richard Barboan Sr.; grandparents Nelson and Samantha Fobb Williams; uncle Nelson Williams Jr.; aunt and uncle Delbert and Bertha Brock and cousins Gladys Rogers, Michael Brock and Twila Long.

Renee is survived by her daughter Shanelka Renise Barboan; mother Shirley Barboan; brother Daniel Richard Barboan Jr.; sister Marian Stephanie Pritchett (Ricky Haislip); niece Kira Moore; nephews Jared Pritchett and Kerwin Moore; aunts Melissa Sue Folsom and husband Michael “Happy” and Anita Navarro and numerous cousins and fr

Funeral services to celebrate Renee’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Bennington. Pastor Olin Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Bennington Cemetery with Reuben Marris, Curtis Ratcliff, Chad Shoemake, Gregg Lewis, Jesse (Hooter) Farrell, Les Trosper, Roger Navarro and Terry Cole serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Quinn Green, Kerwin Moore, Jared Pritchett and R.J. Haislip. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
