Fred Thurston
January 26, 1938 ~ April 24, 2019

Funeral Service for Fred Thurston, 81 of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Garriott Road Church of Christ with Ray Rose officiating. Burial will be 2:00 PM in IOOF Cemetery, Watonga, Oklahoma. Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00PM-5:30PM. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Fred was born on January 26, 1938 in Granite, OK to Foster and Louise (Wartz) Thurston and passed away on April 24, 2019 in Enid.

Fred grew up in Granite. In 1977, he married Dee Monoe Mannin in Memphis, TX. They later made their home in Enid. Fred worked in the crop insurance business as a salesman. Dee passed away in 1998. He then married Mary Ann Hobercht on April 7, 2001. Fred was a member of Garriott Road Church of Christ and the Enid Corvette Club. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. Fred was a proud US Marine Veteran.

He was preceded in death by both wives, Dee and Mary Ann; grandson, Weston Mannin; and sister Jan Roper.

Fred is survived by his children, Nancy Tucker (Dennis), Galen Mannin (Kim), Roland Mannin (Tonua), Mona Weisbruch (Doug), Anita Cowan (Rick), Brett Karns (Jeanne), Bruce Karns (Diane), Toni Hoberecht (Shawn Schaefer), Trevar Hoberecht, Nathalie Kitson (Brian), and Shelley Spaeth (Mark); twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
