Dick Devon Ramer
June 16, 1949 ~ August 15, 2022

Dick Devon Ramer was born on June 16, 1949, on the family farm in Watonga, OK, to Leonard and Vera (Kern) Ramer. He passed away on August 15, 2022, in Watonga, OK, at the age of 73.

Dick grew up in Watonga and lived in Edmond for about 18 years before moving back to Watonga. He married Deborah Schoelen, and they had three children together, Staci, Angela, and Devon. Deborah passed away in 1981, leaving Dick to raise their children. He later married Carol Geeslin Hightower on August 4, 1999, in Greenfield, OK.

Dick worked as a meat cutter and was an ordained minister. He enjoyed ministering, and he and Carol enjoyed traveling after their retirement. Dick loved his family and especially loved spending time with his kids and his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ramer of Watonga, OK; his daughter, Angela Young and husband Ty of Texas; stepson, Todd Hightower and wife Toni of Watonga, OK; son-in-law, Kevin Evans of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Dalton Evans, Hope Evans, Gloria Evans, Curtis Rice and wife Bobbie, and Alyssa Rice; stepgrandson, Colten Hightower and wife Sheena; step-great-grandsons, James and Jesse Hightower; siblings, Jack Ramer and wife Elodee of Mustang, OK, Maudie White and husband Curt of Watonga, OK, Jean Hall of Watonga, OK, Donna Hopkins of Enid, OK; sisters-in-law, Ann Morgan and husband Joe of Mountain View, AR, and Kathy and Mo Dillard of Loyal, OK; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Vera Ramer; his wife, Deborah Ramer; daughter, Staci Evans; son, Devon Ramer; stepdaughter, Jamie Hightower Young; siblings, JC Ramer, Sam Ramer, Naomi and Ken Fitsimmons; and brother-in-law Larry Hopkins.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Oasis Church, Watonga, OK, with Pastors Scott Lovett and Colten Hightower officiating. Burial: Watonga IOOF Cemetery, Watonga, OK.
