Georgia Marcella (Edwards) Lasiter
June 14, 1958 ~ February 27, 2021

Georgia Marcella Edwards was born June 14, 1958 at Roswell, New Mexico to Dixie Marcella DeBaun and George Whitaker Edwards and passed away February 27, 2021 at the age of 62.

Georgia attended Watonga Public Schools and was a resident of the Watonga community for 50+ years, where she was a dietary assistant. She married Boyd Haskell Lasiter on August 3, 1984. Georgia loved to help with fundraising for the hospital; she helped with the Hospital Auxiliary, the Hospital Foundation, and the trail ride.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Haskell Lasiter, her son, Cody Allen Lasiter, and her brother, Harvey Edwards.

She is survived by:

Two daughters………………… Jennie Weaver and Husband Randy, of Corn, OK; Pennie Daugherty and Husband Robert, of Watonga, OK.

One brother…………………….. Steve Edwards and wife Cathy of Kentucky.

Her parents……………………… Gary and Dixie Williams.

Ten grandchildren……………. Sarah, Kristen, Zachariah, Caleb, and Hannah-Grace Weaver; Andrea and Jaycie Daugherty and Allyssa, Shyra, and Niki.

Funeral services for Georgia Marcella Lasiter will be held Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nazarene Church in Watonga, with Pastor Kason Oakes officiating. Burial to follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Watonga Hospital Auxiliary.
