Doris June (Hall) Franks

Doris June Franks
July 19, 1934 ~ October 24, 2020

Doris June Franks was born to John D. and Irene Conrad Hall on July 19, 1934 in Watonga, OK and peacefully passed away October 24, 2020 at the age of 86 as a resident at the Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher, OK.

Most of Doris’s life was spent living in Watonga where she worked many jobs, some of those being Holley Tex, Watonga Republican, and Cherokee Transit. She married Kenneth Franks before she graduated High School from Watonga, OK and they went on to have four children: Vivian, Michael “Mike”, Jeff, and Don. Doris had a passion for gardening, cooking, traveling, and of course, beating her grandkids in card games, dominos, and Chinese checkers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Hall Jr. of Pueblo, CO; a sister, JoAnn Matli of Fredrick, CO; son, Mike, and great-grandson, Colby.

She is survived by daughter Vivian Duffy of Watonga, OK; son, Jeff, and wife Jan of Watonga, OK; son, Don Franks of Daytona Beach, FL, and daughter-in-law Tina Farris Williams. Seven grandchildren: Stacy Duffy Matlock and husband Jarrid; Kacy Duffy Powell and husband Nick; Lolly Franks Worden and husband James; Joanie Franks, Vinny Franks and wife Jamie; Eric Franks and wife McKenna, and Kaleb Franks, and wife Izan. Twelve great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Kinsey Matlock, Keirsten Hayes, Summer and Tatum Yost, Jaxon Powell, Kaden Voss, Kyler Swanson and Khloe, Ryder, Mason, and Lynlee Franks. One great-great granddaughter, Karsyn Hayes, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Doris June Franks will be held Friday, October 30 at 2:00 P.M. at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, OK with Reverend Jim Westmoreland officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
