Jessie Ada Sankey was born on September 5, 1974 at Clinton, OK. She passed on December 31, 2020 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Byron Sankey and Celeste Medicinebird.

Jessie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Arapaho Chief Warren and Olive Sankey; her paternal grandparents Cheyenne Chief Alfrich and Joyce Heap of Birds; nephew Xavier Cannon; step-sister Amber Nicole Sankey.

She is survived by her father Byron Sankey and Barbara Walters; her mother Celeste Medicinebird; one brother, Overton Sankey; one sister, Madeline Dawn Sankey; step-sister Nicole Ann Sankey; two step-brothers, Francis David Sankey and Charlie Sankey; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

An all-night wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening, January 7, 2021 at the Byron Sankey residence in rural Canton, OK. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at the same location with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating.

Interment will follow at the Sankey Family Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at
