Donald Wilson Cavett

May 17, 1937 ~ November 29, 2005

Donald Wilson Cavett, 68, died at home November 29, 2005 following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. December 5, 2005 in the First Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. Interment will be in the Eagle City Cemetery, Eagle City, Oklahoma at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Funeral Home.

Don was born on May 17, 1937, at the family farm 3 miles south of Carlton, Oklahoma, the youngest son of Benjamin Otto and Grazella Claire (Wilson) Cavett. The first 21 years he lived on the family farm and went to school, then spent four years in Texas in the U.S. Air Force. Returning to Oklahoma, he lived in Oklahoma City for the duration of his life except for 22 months he lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma while employed by A.D.P.C. Inc.

He married Loretta Faye Collinsworth in Oklahoma City on November 21, 1966. No children were born of this marriage. They celebrated 39 wonderful years together on November 21, 2005. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Central State College in 1971.

Don will be remembered as a kind, loving gentle man. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister, Donna Jean, an older brother, James Roger, and an older sister, Mary Elizabeth. He was survived by his wife, Loretta; sisters, Naomi Jones (husband Milford) of Oklahoma City, Ruth Allred of Columbus, Ohio, and numerous other relatives.
