Leslie Dean Weese

May 9, 1947 ~ June 28, 2023

Leslie Dean Weese was born May 9, 1947, at Rolla, Kansas to John Thomas and Anna Mae (Nelson) Weese. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Seiling, Oklahoma.

Leslie worked in the packing department at U.S. Gypsum and retired after 30 years of service. He married Barbara Ann Wynn in 1970 at Clinton, Oklahoma. Leslie and Barbara made their home in Canton, Oklahoma.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pat Chaloupek and Loreen Bell; one brother, Albert Weese; He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; two brothers, Wayne Sumpter and wife June of Longdale, OK and Melvin Weese of Dingle, Iloilo, Phillipines; sister-in-law Gwenda Domingquez; brothers-in-law Gene Wynn, Tom Wynn, Jerry Wynn, David Wynn, Joe Wynn, John Wynn and Dan Wynn.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Cherryvale Cemetery east of Canton with Pastor Sam Peck officiating. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
