A traditional wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Canton Native American Gymnasium for Michelle Cora "Shelby" Redhat, 23, of Longdale, OK. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the same venue with Reverend Gerald Panana officiating. Interment will follow in the Canton Reinterment (Chiefs) Cemetery near Canton Lake under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Shelby Redhat was born on November 25, 1989 at Clinton, OK to Steven and Monica (Kauley) Redhat. She departed from this life on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Elk City, OK.

Shelby went to Canton and Riverside schools. She enjoyed being with her children and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and shooting. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers William Wayne Redhat, Sr. and Kenneth Kauley; aunt Minoma Redhat; and cousin Christopher Wayne Redhat;

Survivors include her two children, daughter Samaera Janet Kay Redhat Hart and son Rickey Matthew Candy; parents Steven and Monica Redhat of Longdale, OK; four brothers, Steven Jay Redhat, Jr., Alexander Paige Redhat and Henry Charles Little Bear Redhat, all of Longdale, OK and Robert Redhat of Fairview, OK; grandmothers Emma Redhat of Longdale, OK and Arleen Kauley of Hammon, OK; numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and extended family.
