Agnes (Osage) Old Bear
August 22, 1927 ~ May 03, 2020

Agnes Old Bear, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020, due to heart complications. She had lived at the El Reno Grace Living Center the past 5 years.

Agnes was born August 22, 1927 at Longdale, OK and raised in the Fonda and Longdale communities. Her parents were full blood Cheyenne, her mother was Katie Hamilton Osage and her father was Don Osage.

She has one surviving sister, Sidonia Blackowl of El Reno.

Four brothers and two sisters have preceded her in death.

Agnes went to school at Longdale and then on to the Concho Indian Boarding school, where she met and married Jimmy Old Bear (full blood Arapaho), had eight children, two deceased: James Jr. (as a baby), Robin (teenage year). Surviving children are Louella Oldbear (son in law Deswood Koshiway), Del City, OK, Wesley Old Bear of Kingfisher, OK, Ronald Old Bear, Sr. (daughter in law Zola Old Bear), Longdale, OK, Harvey Old Bear, Longdale, OK, Maria McBrayer, Idabel, OK, Adrian Davis, Marble Falls, TX; Agnes has 7 grandchildren: Joseph Koshiway, Gerald Koshiway, Louella Kay Old Bear, Victoria Old Bear, Ronald Old Bear, Jr., Kyle Davis, and Maria’s son and 19 great grandchildren. She also has many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whom she has appreciated and loved in her lifetime.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2020 at the Canton Reinterment (Chief's) Cemetery with Reverend James Scott officiating. Due to the current pandemic, Covid-19 restrictions will apply at the service.

We would like to thank everyone for your prayers, caring about our mother, the kindness you showed her and the many helpful gestures you had done for her over the years. She had always told us she wished she could have repaid your kindness somehow. God Bless you all. We give the Lord all the praise for her long life.
