Adeline Matilda (Ensz) Sprunger

March 13, 1921 ~ August 22, 2018

Funeral services for Adeline Matilda Ensz Sprunger, 97, of Canton, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Canton, with Pastor Mike McReynolds and Pastor Travis McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. 

Adeline Matilda Ensz Sprunger was born March 13, 1921, to John and Sarah Ensz in DuBois, Idaho. She departed this life August 22, 2018, at Fairview, Oklahoma. Adeline grew up in Visalia, California. She married Lyman Sprunger on June 15, 1940, at Visalia, California. 

Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Lyman after 74 wonderful years of marriage; one daughter, Betty Sprunger Fisher; one grandson, Gregory Scott; and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Sprunger. 

Survivors include daughter Joanne Sinclair and husband DeWayne of Canton; son-in-law Mike Fisher and wife Sherry of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter Melody Plemons of Granite Bay, California; son John Sprunger and wife Connie of Canton; and daughter Rebecca Whiting and husband Randy of Enid, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren, Doug Sinclair, Doyle Sinclair, Donnita Minton, Brad Fisher, Kevin Fisher, Jason Plemons, Jared Plemons, Larissa Kelly, Melissa Conrady, Alan McKinley, Amy Bonura, Heather Murray, Suzanne McVicker, Zach Whiting, Cassandra Whiting and Christina Whiting; and 33 great-grandchildren. 

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the First Baptist Church of Canton mission fund or the Canton Library, with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
