Richard Vaughn Webb was born July 17, 1941 in Reed, Oklahoma to Mable (Beaver) Cromwell and Eugene Webb. He passed away September 23, 2018 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 6 days.
 

Richard grew up in the Brinkman and Delhi areas. He attended school at Delhi school until he enlisted in the United States Army. During his service he served in the 1st infantry division in Holt, Germany as a medic before his discharge in 1963. After his return to the U.S. he worked in the wood mill in California before returning to western Oklahoma where he started his career in the oil field. Richard continued in the oil field until the mid 80's when he began his employment with the City of Sayre in the water department. He continued with the City of Sayre until his retirement. Richard's passion was cars, rebuilding bicycles for the neighborhood kids and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Webb; grandson, Joshua Simms; 6 brothers and sisters, Jerry Webb, June Griffin, Floyd Lee Webb, Johnny Webb, Patricia McDaniel and Elmer Webb.

He is survived by his biological son, Richard Vaughn Webb, Jr., Sayre, OK; the children that he raised, Estelle Simms, Carter, OK, Patricia Carnegie, Sayre, OK and C.W. Bogges, Dickinson, TX; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 sister, Katie Mauldin, Los Lunas, NM; 2 brothers, Fred Babcock and wife, Peggy, Graham, TX and Doyle Webb and wife, Linda, Colorado and a host of other relatives and friends.
