Eugene John Simon was born January 25, 1932 in Elk City, OK to Henry and Barbara (Greteman) Simon. He passed away on September 9, 2021 in Elk City, OK at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Eugene loved to go fishing, golfing, and bird watching. He taught wood working and enjoyed remodeling houses and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Mary Church, and 2 brothers, Vincent and Carl, 1 sister in law, Loretta Simon, 1 brother in law, A.J. Schneberger. 

He is survived by 4 children, Cindy Clark and husband, David, Amarillo, TX, John Michael Simon, Amarillo, TX, Cheryl Courtney and husband, Chad, Grand Prairie, TX, Matthew Simon, Amarillo, TX, 2 brothers, Bill Simon and wife, Peggy, Baton Rouge, LA, Robert Simon and wife, Elaine, Elk City, OK, 3 sisters, Cecelia Schneberger, Burns Flat, OK, Ann Hale and husband, Ed, Norman, OK, Theresa Say and husband, Ken, Norman, OK, sister in law, Joyce Simon, Elk City, OK, 6 grandchildren, Donny Clark and wife Sarah of Lake Worth TX, Casey Clark and husband, Aaron, Amarillo, TX, Lindsey Driver and husband, Cory, Lubbock, TX, Blake Simon, Amarillo, TX, Chelsea (Bruce) Simon, and husband, Dustin, Amarillo, TX, Shelby Courtney, Lubbock, TX, 6 great grandchildren, Simon Bruce, Sage Bruce, Ace Bruce, and Triton Bruce, Augustus Clark, Carter Boyd Driver, and a host of other relatives and friends.
