Patsy Merlene Tignor passed from this life and into eternity on February 3, 2020 in Sayre, OK at the age of 84 years. 

She was born February 15, 1935 in Erick, OK to her parents Roy and Katherine (Whipkey) Stone. Pat grew up in Erick, OK.   On June 13, 1952 she married Clarence Tignor in Sayre, OK and made Sweetwater, OK their home from 1952 ~ 1977.  In 1977 she moved to Sayre, OK.  Pat was a college registrar for Southwestern State University, Sayre until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of First Christian Church of Sayre.   In her spare time, Pat enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling and cooking.  She especially enjoyed the Christmas holidays, spending time with her family and opening presents.  Pat’s greatest love was for her grandchildren, who affectionally called her Me-maw.

Pat is survived by her 1 daughter:  Cindy Perry of Sayre, OK, 4 sons:  Clarence and wife Sam Tignor of Bushland, TX, Dickie and wife Sharon Tignor of Cheyenne, OK, Frankie Tignor of Texola, OK, and Glen and wife Twila Tignor of Sayre, OK; 1 sister-in-law:  Bethan Stone of Ft. Worth, TX; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of longtime friends, neighbors and other relatives. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son: Ernie Tignor; 2 grandsons:  Jason Tignor, Christopher Tignor; 5 brothers; 6 sisters; as well as a longtime special friend and companion:  Bunk Tipton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020 at First Christian Church, Sayre with Rev. Dennis Knight officiating. 

Interment will follow at Mayfield Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM and Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM with family gathering from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre.
