Lindell Woods

Lindell Woods was born February 17, 1927 in Salem, Arkansas to Blanche Alpha and Austin Flint Woods. He passed away June 19, 2015 at Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 2 days.

Lindell grew up in Salem, Arkansas and after graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during in the Pacific Theatre until the end of World War II. After his discharge he returned to Ada, Oklahoma where he worked for Halliburton before moving to Iowa, Kansas and Wyoming. He was later married to Sylvia Mae (Gratner) Woods on November 18, 1967 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. After their marriage they lived in Oklahoma before moving to Wyoming and Kansas then later back to Oklahoma to make their home. Lindell enjoyed hunting, especially fishing, shooting and tinkering in the garage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step-sons, Dale and Dennis Jantz.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Bill Woods and wife, Mary, Athens, TN, Harrold Woods and wife, Joy, Ogden, UT and Roger Woods and wife, Sherri, Enid, OK; Sylvia's children, D.J. Jantz and wife, Doris, Dallas, TX, Sheila Pettitt and husband, Millard, Sayre, OK and David Jantz and wife, Sharron, Yukon, OK; daughter-in-law, Betty Jantz, Elk City, OK; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Austin Woods, Longview, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
