Samuel Donald "Sammy" Weir was born October 29, 1962 in Springdale, Arkansas to Paula Lucille and Donald Wayne Weir. He passed away August 14, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Sammy grew up in Arkansas, Arizona and Elk City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Canute High School in 1981. After graduation he stayed in Elk City for several years before moving to Dallas, Texas where he worked as a security officer. Sammy moved to Texhoma, Oklahoma where he found work driving a truck and helping on a local farm. In June of 2015 he moved back to Elk City to be with his family. Sammy enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and attending church.

He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Julia Nicole Jones and his grandparents, John Andrew Weir, Cordilia Goldberg-Weir, Luther Paul Hare and Julia Nancy Hendrix.

He is survived by his son, Jesse, Abilene, TX; 1 step son, Cody Gibbs, Texhoma, OK; 1 step daughter, Shaunna Royse and husband, Jacob, Texhoma, OK; 4 grandchildren, Ebony, Seth and Dominic Royse, all of Texhoma, OK and Cody Peyton Griggs, Reydon, OK; his parents, Donald and Paula Weir, Elk City, OK; 3 brothers, Calvin Wayne Weir, Elk City, OK, Calvin Luther Weir, Merritt, OK and Lafayette Paul-Wayne Weir, Elk City, OK; 1 sister, Paula-Renee Brasuell, Elk City, OK; 1 aunt, Alice Stowel, Belton, TX, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
