Eva Gertrude (Neff) (Ootton) Vincent

Funeral services for Eva Gertrude Vincent were conducted Monday, June 24, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. From the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City, OK with Rev. Clarence Conkle officiating. Interment followed in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home.

Eva Gertrude Vincent was born in Hammon, Ok on March 21, 1924 and passed away June 21, 2013 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of Henry and Zura (Jones) Neff. She was married to Barney Ootton in 1941. In 1946 she married her second husband, Marvin Vincent. Gertrude lived in Cheyenne, Ok for several years before moving t6o Elk City in 1972. Gertrude was always a homemaker and loved her card games and bingo. She was always very giving tto friends and family evn if it took her last dollar. We will keep her in our memories and miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Dennis Vincent in 1991 and J.C. "Tinker" Shaw Jr. In 2006.

She is survived by five sons; Trois Ootton of Shawnee, OK, Junior Ootton of Graham, TX, Steve Vincent of Elk City, OK, Rodney Vincent of Elk City, OK, and Jerry Vincent of Norman, OK; three daughters; Sue Noland of El Reno, OK, Pam Sevo of Sayre, OK, and Sandra Bullard of Odessa, TX; two sisters; Grace Poole of Elk City, OK, and Francis Kelley of Elk City, OK.
