Miguel A Villegas

Miguel Villegas was born December 23, 1950 in Lorena, Texas to Tomasa
and Heberto Villegas. He passed away August 21, 2015 at Elk City,
Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 28 days.
 
Miguel grew up and attended school in Hart, Texas. At a young age he
began helping his father farming. On May 24, 1968 he was married to
Maria Teresa (Gonzales) Villegas at Dimmitt, Texas. After their
marriage,they moved around until they moved to Sayre, Oklahoma in 1979.
In 1989 they moved to Elk City where he was working at Love's truck
stop. He also obtained his GED and diesel mechanic degree in 1990 before
he started working for Schlumberger in 1991. Miguel remained with
Schlumberger until his retirement in 2012. His passion in life was
making sure his wife, Maria, was well taken care of. He also enjoyed
traveling, visiting with family and friends and taking care of his
truck.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister,
son-in-law and 1 grandson.
 
He is survived by his wife, Maria, of the home; 7 children, Idalia
Villegas, Elk City, OK, Ida Huddlen, Elk City, OK, Isidro Villegas,
Burns Flat, OK, Adelida Villegas, Garland, TX, Jose Manuel Villegas, Elk
City, OK, Adelina Villegas, Elk City, OK and Eduardo Villegas, Elk City,
OK; 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 sister, 2 brothers,
special sister-in-law, Juanita Rosas, Springdale, AR and a host of other
relatives and friends.
 
Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at
Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Otniel Rosas. Burial will be at
Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
