Mildred Inez Taylor was born September 4, 1928 in Valliant, Oklahoma to Lillie and Ivan Nunley. She passed away July 21, 2015 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Mildred was raised in Valliant, Oklahoma and at the age of 16 moved from home. She was a waitress in Purcell, Oklahoma when she had an opportunity to move to Colorado. It was there in Pueblo, Colorado where she met and was eventually married to Willis Leroy Taylor in Reno, Nevada on October 28, 1948. After their marriage they moved around following Leroy's employment in the oil field. In 1957 they made their home in Elk City, Oklahoma where Mildred worked for Puckett's Grocery Store, was a member of the hospital volunteers and also worked in home healthcare. She was a member of the Elk City First Baptist Church and also enjoyed traveling, camping and tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Maxwell and husband, Rodney, Elk City, OK; 1 son, Dennis Taylor and wife, Brenda, Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren, Rodney Alan Maxwell and wife, Geri, Humble, TX, David Maxwell and wife, Kari, Edmond, OK, Brock Taylor and wife, Brandi, Omaha, NE, Brian Taylor and wife, Kara, Bixby, OK; 8 great grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, Aiden Taylor, Kylie Taylor, Weston Taylor, Bella Taylor, Aurora Turley, Reagan Turley, Gavin Turley, and a host of other relatives and friends.
