Marie Young--Funeral services were held Saturday July 5, 1986 for Marie Young in the Martin Funeral Chapel.
 
Mrs. Young was born in Blue Mountain, Arkansas on March 3, 1909 and passed away on Thursday, July 3, 1986 in the Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 77.
 
After attending college in Russellville, Arkansas. She taught school in Prairie View, Arkansas.
 
She was then married to Orphus R. Young on January 14, 1933 in Elk City. Mr. Young preceded her in death on December 10, 1964. She was employed with Armour for many years. At the closing of the plant in 1960, she worked in the school lunch program. She ended her career as a dietitian at the Clinton Sherman Air Force Base. She received an award for outstanding service while employed at Clinton Sherman.
 
Interment Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma.
