Mary Kathryn (Miller) Dawson

Funeral services for Mary Kathryn Dawson will be conducted from the
Grandview Assembly of God Church on Thursday, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark
Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk
City, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dawson was born December 12, 1926 in Paonia, Colorado, and died late
Sunday evening January 3, 1988 at the age of 61.

She moved with her family from Colorado to Reydon in 1933, where she
grew up and attended the Midway and Reydon Schools. She did home nursing
care in the Reydon area for several years until she moved to Albuquerque,
New Mexico, in 1952 where she met and married Bill Dawson on June 30, 1952.
Following their marriage they moved to San Pablo, California, where they
lived until 1972 when they moved to Elk City, where they had lived since.

She is survived by her husband Bill of the home; four children, Terry
Dawson of San Diego, California, Sandra Shackleford of Elk City, Ronnie
Dawson of Brinnon, Washington, and Richard Dawson of Corpus Christi,
Texas; four sisters Erna Rainey of Elk City, Margie Hardin of Odessa,
Texas, Hazel Jackson, Elk City, and Joan Martinez of Spring Hill,
Florida; two brothers, Murl Miller of Lawndale, California, and Glen
Miller of Skiatook; also by several grandchildren.

Casket bearers were: Pete Granger, Vernon Little, Roy Williams, Charlie
Simpson, Junior Williams, Mike Williams.
