Sammy Acuna was born on November 14, 1962 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Raymond and Frances (Sanchez) Acuna. He passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 15, 2020 at the age of 57 Years,11 months and 5 days.
 

Sammy grew up in Seymour, Texas and later moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where he did asphalt paving for Jim Rice then began his own company for several years. He later went to work for the City of Elk City for over 20 years. Sammy kept his yard and flowers in meticulous order and enjoyed spending his free time with his family. He was an avid Trump supporter and loved watching Fox News. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Adela Dowler.


He is survived by his wife, Priscilla, of the home, one daughter, Leslie Acuna, Boerne, TX, two sons, Sammy Acuna, Jr and wife, Casie, Elk City, OK, Tommy Acuna, Sayre, OK, six grandchildren, Keelie, Kinsley, Samantha, Jayden, Joshua, and Lexi, one sister, Mary Zuniga, Denton, TX and a host of other relatives and friends. 
 

A private family graveside service is being held at a later date at Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service, Elk City.
