 Jerry Don Richter was born April 20, 1941 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Mary Elizabeth and Elmer Richter. He passed away March 18, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 28 days.


Jerry Don grew up in Fairview, Oklahoma where he attended school. He moved to California and lived there before he was married to Brenda Kay Wann at Wheeler, Texas on March 9, 1983. They moved to Arizona where he worked at Shamrock Dairy before moving back to Oklahoma in 1988. They lived in Dill City, Oklahoma before moving to Erick in February of 2000 to make their home. Jerry Don loved camping and was an avid fisherman. He attended the Erick Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Jerry Don Richter, Jr., Larry Richter, 1 sister and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of the home; 3 daughters, Angela Ruiz, Longdale, OK, Mary Sontag and husband, Christopher, Geary, OK and Sandra Richter, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 sons, Kenny Richter and wife, Chrissy, Longdale, OK and Shannan Denney and wife, Renilta, Erick, OK; 5 sisters, Marilyn Richter, Enid, OK, Lavera Jones, Oklahoma City, OK, Rosie Nichols, Ringwood, OK, Sheila Warner, Billings, OK and Doreen Fox, Utah; 21 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Mary Wann, Erick, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Erick

Cemetery officiated by Lee Reminger. Services are under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
